Sunday Property Round-Up August 13th 2023

Weekly Irish property market news and insights – for the industry, by the industry

Before we get stuck into the general property news of the week, below are the local and international stories that might be of particular interest:

  • 🚴 PLACEengage  is delighted to sponsor the ‘John Behan Memorial Cycle’ in  An Cheathru Rua, Connemara, 16th September 2023. I know we have lots of cycling enthusiasts in the industry so details of the planned routes (110 km and 65 km) and how to get involved are on the Club Rothaíochta Chonamara page 👉https://www.facebook.com/CRChonamara   Bígí linn!

  • Renter’s tax credit could be increased to almost €800 per person: “Rent is crippling people and while this is welcome, it is not enough … we need something much more radical if we want to actually help the current generation who are stuck in rent” https://iradio.ie/rent-tax-credit/

*Reminder that the Property District offices in Dublin and Galway will close on Wednesdays for July and August as we let our creative talent run wild – you are welcome  to join us for #WildWednesday, details here: https://propertydistrict.ie/wildwednesday-challenging-techies-to-disconnect-and-creatives-to-reconnect/

If you missed last week’s round-up, you can catch up here: https://propertydistrict.ie/sunday-roundup/

As always, you might let me know if I have missed out on any relevant property news by emailing  carol@propertydistrict.ie.

(Apologies in advance for any typos, it’s difficult to get good help on a Sunday. Also, I use voice to text dictation so just sound out anything that really doesn’t make sense in a strong rural accent and that should help!)

#Property Roundup

On #PropertyRoundup on iProperty Radio this week I had the opportunity to chat John Foley and Emma O’ Donoghue, Directors at Lifesize Plans Leinster,  about bringing home plans to life in scale.

John and Emma give an overview of the offering and how it can benefit clients (from self-builders and residential developers, right through to landscape architects or State agencies). Lifesize Plans originally started out in Australia, however, John and Emma brought the franchise into the Irish market –  something we needed – and they have big plans for nationwide expansion.

Listening to Emma talk about the different clients they have, there is no restriction and this technology is open to everyone, from renovators to off-plan developers.

*Pop along to their Dublin 10 facility OPEN DAY on Saturday 19th August 2023 from 10am to 4pm to learn more!
