Well done to Colin Murphy and all the team at Premier Publishing & Events for a fantastic Construction Summit.
#MMCIreland Board member Pat Kirwan of C+W O’Brien Architects gave a fantastic overview of the recently published UN Climate report and how that relates to construction, particularly housing delivery.
Pat also joined in a panel discussion on the realities (challenges and opportunities) of #MMC with Nicola McKay of HLM Architects, Eoin Waldron of Castle Modular and Ronan Lonergan MRIAI of Cairn Homes plc, led by Carol Tallon of Ireland’s Property District.
One of the best attended talks of the day was delivered by Mark Whitehead of CPAC Modular – who also had the best exhibition stand on the day!! Check out the video below…
Particular highlights included the MMC Ireland stage, which featured innovators like Conor Walsh of Visor MMC, and industry experts like Dick Clerkin of Clerkin Consulting.
#MMCIreland founding member Frank Petruf of PETRUF Consulting Structural Engineers reminded attendees about the importance of early engagement with structural engineers when it comes to successful delivery of MMC projects.
It was great to meet and catch up with so many great innovators, including: Sean Harrison, Tamas Borodi and Elizabeth Price of recent Proptech of the Year Award winning OpenSpace ; housing disrupter Colm Casey of Homebuyer’s Hero; Marchant van den Heever, PhD of Harcourt Technologies Ltd and Ross O’Colmain of Enterprise Ireland.
Well done to Caitríona Ní Aimhirgín of Future Cast (Construction & Quarrying) for leading one of the most dynamic panels of the day with Dearbhla Keane of SheConstructs, Shauna Coyne of SkyClad Ltd; Jenny Bradfield, MCIOB of John Sisk & Son Ltd and Nicola Nixon of Boliden.
